Wedding days are always joyous, but the entire process of bringing Suz & MC’s wedding vision to life was full of tremendous love- it overflowed from their relationship, their families, and their adoring friends. Beyond the positivity these two brought to the table, they also had clarity of vision and trust in our artistry that energized us throughout the design process. Suzanne is a Store Manager at Anthropologie, and MC is a teacher, which explains a lot about their impeccable style (hello, stunner BHLDN outfits) and their supportive, encouraging way of working together and with us.
Brainstorming with the couple, we came up with a plan that brought a fresh, modern look to the timeless Merrimon-Wynne House with garden-inspired elements like potted plants, thoughtful Ikebana-style arrangements, vining greenery on bars and stairs, a copper arbor brimming with garden roses, and an elegant hanging hoop installation. As we set up for the day, we were struck by the camaraderie of the family and friends that filled the house – you could feel the emotion and excitement building, morning to night. Little heartfelt details like baptismal cloths that MC’s father thought to have us tie around each of the brides’ bouquets, and the poem written and read by a bridesmaid during the ceremony, are what wedding days are all about. Suz + MC, we wish we could do it all over again!
