Is there a more beautiful time in Raleigh than mid November? We’re crazy about late Fall weddings (hello, cooler temps and stunning colors), and Rachel & Jeff’s day at Merrimon Wynne is an ideal representation of the season. Both Bride & Groom were energetically involved in creating the plan their florals, and they lent fantastic direction to the vision. They truly embraced the saturated color palette of Fall foliage — from ambers and golds to smoldering reds and almost black plums. They also gathered the geometric shapes that we suspended with flowers above the dancefloor – a whimsical reimagining of the traditional dance floor chandelier. To capture the seasonal color palette we went for fully saturated color with no whites — a departure from our typical wedding flower formula, but we were wild about the depth and richness that resulted. We chose Black Bacarra, Cappuccino and Coffee Break roses (coffee related names always = the best flowers) with golden Amaranth, black Scabiosa, peach Ranunculus, burgundy Snapdragon, Rainbow Leucothoe, Eucalyptus, and a caramel toned Carnation called Putamayo. Rachel was the perfect Bride for this bold, unconventional bouquet — she’s a veterinarian, so she’s incredibly smart, strong, and gorgeous to boot. Thank you Rachel and Jeff, we were honored to be part of your incredible day!
