Teryn and Joe were married on May 4, 2019 at Merrimon Wynne. They exude such genuine warmth, and were a pleasure to work with. Teryn is a brilliant painter with an incredible eye for color and movement. She often reaches for oranges and blues in her work, and we were excited to do the same for her floral palette. It was a perfect opportunity to use our most favorite peony, Clare de Lune, as the main focal flower in Teryn’s bouquet — we love the vibrant yellowy-orange center and wide open face. Alongside the peonies we brought in deeper shades of orange and peach through Camel roses and ranunculus; white roses and sweet peas created a clean and ruffley canvas for the brighter pops of color; Solomon’s Seal and locally grown Apricot Beauty foxglove (over 100 stems!) brought structure and whimsical shape; Tweedia offered the playful blue contrast. Teryn picked out a beautiful robin’s egg blue velvet ribbon that paired beautifully with white and champagne silk trailing in the Spring breeze. We truly had a blast creating Teryn’s florals, and hope more Brides will take note of the underrated elegance of Orange.
