Maddie and Harrison’s wedding at Market Hall in late June of 2019 was a highlight of our summer. Maddie is a dedicated flower lover with entrepreneurial dreams who volunteered earlier that year to help out in our studio while she finished her last semester at NC State; her helpfulness and sense of calm was such an asset to the space during the hours she spent with us. Maddie and Harrison are so joyfully in love, and seem wise beyond their years — can’t you feel it in these sweet photos? Both have a fantastic sense of style (Harrison is a clothing designer and Maddie an engineer) and wanted their florals to be clean, classic and simple in pure whites and greens, with a bit of airy texture. We used roses, snapdragons, scabiosa, tulips, sweet peas, chocolate lace flower, lavender foliage, artemisia, heuchera and ruscus to bring their vision to life.

Lately we’ve been loving the look of streamlined, single-ingredient bouquets, and we are wild about the way Maddie’s bridesmaid bouquets turned out, especially next to the more intricate details of her own lovely bouquet. Airy collections of bud vases with scabiosa and chocolate lace flower adorned the dining tables along with repurposed maids bouquets, and we created a playfully elegant ceremony backdrop using Italian Ruscus attached to the wall. Hope you enjoy this inspiration for a timeless, classic, sophisticated but fun summer wedding, photographed flawlessly by Ginny Corbett.
