The first we learned of Maggie and Casey and their wedding day dreams was in a very intriguing email from their planner, Lauren, from The Lion House. She told us of this fantastic couple who got engaged in Hawaii, and her vision of transforming Heron Hall at The Meadows into a lush tropical scene — thinking Jurassic Park vibes and rich, blood orange hues. You had us at Jurassic Park, Lauren! We always enjoy finding new ways of incorporating local, seasonal florals with tropical elements, and the vision created by this couple alongside Lauren was truly unique and full of playful, sophisticated style. Marrying the tropical direction with the romantic meadows that are the venue’s namesake, we created a floral palette full of interesting contrast: anthuriums, palm, protea and fern melded with dahlias, celosia, grasses, millet, roses, and vining greenery in striking fashion. The subtle but complementary differences in style from ceremony to reception stayed true to both venue and theme. The soft, romantic arbor for the ceremony suited the backdrop of meadows and trees, while the interior reception space came alive with tall tropical greenery arrangements, vivid gold bowls of flowers and palms, and a knockout sweetheart table scene framed by large tropical plants and a hanging installation of greenery and flowers. We loved collaborating with The Lion House and with this adorable, fun-loving couple. Cheers, Maggie and Casey!
