Growing Wylde

SEASON BY SEASON

We believe that artful, thoughtful floral design emerges from an ongoing connection to nature – always watching the shifting and swelling of the seasons to learn their nuanced offerings.

Tending our cut flower garden just a few miles from downtown Raleigh enables us to put this philosophy into practice, along with foraging and buying from other local growers and nurseries. Our garden space is a few thousand square feet of borrowed space – considered micro scale in the world of farming, but we’re finding that the amount of flowers we can produce through intensive planting and dedication to soil health is astounding.

Some of our favorite flowers to grow are hellebores and tulips in late Winter, larkspur and foxglove to usher in Spring, zinnias and rudbeckia who savor Summer’s sun, and finally dahlias and Japanese anemone as Fall brings the first refreshing chill.
